Media Accreditation
Accreditation is available for media who are covering the festival on assignment for a legitimate news-gathering organization. Advertising, marketing or public relations representatives are not eligible for media accreditation. Freelancers can receive an accreditation if they have a letter of assignment from an editor – freelancers who are working “on spec” will not receive accreditation. Any person with media accreditation who sells, markets, or represents their company for the purpose of obtaining advertising or subscriptions will immediately forfeit his accreditation.
Each person requesting media accreditation must complete an
application form.
Media accreditation provides access to the Media Center, Media Parking Area on the Foss Waterway, VIP Parking and VIP Viewing Area at Cummins Park (Parade of Sail only) and the Evening on the Esplanade Preview Party. It does not allow access to any ship unless recipient is escorted by Media Center staff.
Media accreditation can be picked up at the Media Center (535 Dock St., Tacoma, Wash.) beginning July 1.
